The government spokesperson Sofia Voultepsi appeared on SKAI and accused the GENOP DEI employees of “sabotaging the state” with power black outs and threatened to mobilize them, should they carry out their rolling strikes.
Mrs. Voultepsi argued that “the unions cannot intervene in strategic government decisions” and that “the unionists will not run the country, the country will not be held hostage […] the government will take all measures so that doesn’t happen”.
Additionally, the government spokesperson claimed that the money derived from the sale of the “mini DEI” will be reinvested in updating DEI.
