New Democracy has tabled in parliament a request for a debate on the debt relief deal approved by the 21 June Eurogroup.
At the same time, Parliament Speaker Nikos told a conference of parliament vice-presidents (each party nominates one) that the government intends to brief the legislature on the details of the recent deal.
The date of the debate and the particular parliamentary procedures that will be followed are expected to be announced this week.
