The time has come for the long-awaited changes of nationwide property values for over 10,000 real estate zones nationwide.
The list has been sent to the Government Gazette, and the new property values (for tax purposes) come into effect when they are published.
The data for the 10,216 zones around the country show that the so-called “objective tax value” per square metre has gone up in 3,792 zones, has remained the same in 4,302 zones, and has been reduced in 2,122 zones.
As far as what this means for property owners’ ENFIA real estate taxes, ministry data indicate that it will be reduced for 23 percent (1.4mn people), slightly increased (by up to 50 euros) for 12 percent (738,000 taxpayers), increased by up to 200 euros for 2.3 percent (160,000 people), and for only 0.7 percent of taxpayers (48,961 people), their taxes will be increased by over 200 euros.
That means that the ENFIA real estate tax bill this year will be reduced, stable, or slightly increased for 97 percent of property owners.
As for legal entities, 91 percent will pay lower real estate taxes, 25 percent will pay the same as last year, and five percent will have an increase of up to 50 euros.
