A Turkish court has rejected the third request of two Greek army officers to be freed pending trial from a maximum security Turkish prison in Edirne.
They have been imprisoned without charges for nearly two months, after being captured by Turkish forces at the Evros border region, where while on routine patrol they mistakenly crossed the border in Turkey due to inclement weather conditions.
The decision of the Turkish judiciary was reported by Turkey’s state-run Anadolou wire service.
