Former Pasok public order minister Michalis Chrysohoidis discerns a dangerous intra-governmental trench warfare over the issue of auctions of foreclosed properties, especially of debtors’ primary residences, as a result of the penalisation of protests against the auctions.
Chrysohoidis told the state-run Athens and Macedonian Press Agency that Greece is in stagnation, and he attributes the government’s narrative of a clear exit from bailout memorandums to a rhetoric and policy of division.
The former minister and member of the newfangled Movement for change party that the stance of disagreeing with reforms but supporting them to stay in power cannot be seen as truly supporting reforms.
Regarding the new ‘’progressive’’ centre-left party, Chrysohoidis said that the future requires a strong Movement for Change, which will represent a catharsis of truth, as ‘’the lies are literally finished’’.
