There is a major upswing in reservations for vacations in Greece for next summer, according to the Thomas Cook Group, the major international tour operator.
Although it is still early for summer, 2018, sales, “we are seeing a good start in exchanges, with total reservations and prices higher than last year,” Thomas Cook Group stated in the announcement of its 2017 financial results.
“Demand for vacations in Turkey and Egypt is very strong, which we expect will reduce pressures on the profit margin, caused by the high concentration of holidays in Spain in 2016 and 2017.
Reservations for Greece and Cyprus have marked a significant increase, following a strong summer in the 2017 fiscal year, the tour operator noted.
The company says that reservations for next summer are up by two percentage points, and the average sales price is up six percentage points.
