The prime minister, trying to pay the adequate attention to the huge problem of unemployment, visited the ministry of Labour.
There he said a lot for the efforts that government officers have made, he praised the work of Labour Inspection and talked about the programs of the Greek Manpower Employment Organization but he said nothing about the main request for creating new jobs.
No inspiration nor fantasy from a left-wing leader who he was supposed to have full time employment as on of his main goals.
On the other hand a distinguished businessman, one of the few that survived in textile industry, was describing, in full detail, the connection between cotton and employment and talked about the potentials and prospects of manufacturing industry renaissance.
According to him the total income for the Greek economy may reach even 8 billion euros.
When he was asked why nobody tries to achieve this renaissance he said that taxes are too high and that social security contributions are twice as high as in the rest of Europe.
The difference is obvious. The prime minister is just playing political games while the businessman is envisaging.
This is know as a role reversal.
