Appeals court rejected the extradition request for three out of eight Turkish servicemen.
District attorney Ourania Stathea had already proposed the rejection. She rejected the new evidences that have been brought by the Turkish authorities, saying the same facts had been considered by the appeals committees who ruled on the first request and she referred to the second request as «deceptive».
She also didn’t hesitate to comment the massive redundancies of judges and prosecutors in Turkey as well as the use of torture and the reinstatement of the death penalty.
