The Greek government spokesperson Dimitris Tzanakopoulos argued that Greece wants to each an agreement in principle at the Monday’s Eurogroup meeting in Brussels.
In a Thursday morning interview on ANT1, Mr. Tzanakopoulos commented that Greece’s European partners and the IMF must realize that they are bound by EU legislation on labor matters and the Greek government cannot accent any further measures after 2018.
“The Greek government is not discussing measures after the program ends, nor will there be such a discussion” the government spokesperson noted, adding that PM Alexis Tsipras recently made this pledge at SYRIZA’s latest parliamentary group meeting.
