The chief executive of Russian natural gas giant Gazprom Alexey Miller stated on Monday that the Turkish Stream pipeline could extend to the borders between Greece and Turkey.

Construction of the pipeline was suspended last year after a Russian fighter jet was shot down by the Turkish Armed Forces. Last week however, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that at least the first section of the pipeline will be constructed.

Trade negotiations on the supply of Russian natural gas continues in Turkey between Gazprom’s Miller and the Turkish Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak.
