The police operations to clear out a number of informal refugee camps near Idomeni continue, with reports suggesting that 308 have are being transferred via bus to two hospitality centers near Thessaloniki.
On Monday Greek authorities relocated 1,158 Syrian and Iraqi refugees from a camp that was set up at a gas station near Polykastro to the hospitality center at Vasilika. Local residents later protested outside the center.
Meanwhile, the latest count at the port of Piraeus indicates that there are 1,261 migrants and refugees camped. A total of 67 arrived on board the Blue Star 1 and a further 19 on the Blue Star 2.
Between the 6th and 13th of June, a total of 309 migrants and refugees arrived on the Aegean islands from Turkey, with Greek authorities arresting four individuals on suspicion of human trafficking.
