Following its previous two decisions, the Appeal Court convened on Monday and decided to reject the extradition request from Italian authorities for five students, who participated in a demonstration in Milan in May 2015.
The request for two of the students was examined on Friday and a further two on Saturday. The decision regarding the youngest of the students in question, aged 19, took place on Monday.
According to the European arrest warrant issued by Italian authorities, the five students in question are accused of causing damages and aggravated resistance during the demonstrations against the Expo 2016 in Milan. The charges against the students entail prison sentences of 8 to 15 years.
