The blockade in the northern Greek town of Idomeni, near the border crossing with FYROM, has had a major impact on the Greek economy, as alternate routes are being sought out to avoid the delays in Greece.
With migrants and refugees stranded and unable to carry on their journeys through FYROM, they have set up camp and occupied the train tracks. Last week clashes broke out between the frustrated migrants and the police.
The first major company to alter its routes was Hewlett Packard, which delivered its products via Slovenia. Many more companies are also examining alternate routes in time for the Christmas holidays.
