About 120 refugees were located in a wooden vessel off the northeast coast of Samothraki on Monday morning, with the Coast Guard promply launching a rescue operation.
The refugees, which include many women and children, were transported to Alexandroupoli, where they will be registered and processed, before being taken to the local refugee center.
