The recently-formed Democratic Party, helmed by former PASOK minister Alekos Papadopoulos, has announced that it will not participate in the upcoming general elections.
Mr. Papadopoulos explained that the there is not enough time for him to organize his party in order to participate in the snap election called by PM Tsipras last week.
The party leader however noted in his statement that “the effort for quality in public life carries on decisively”.
