The head of the Euro Working Group Thomas Wieser commented that the snap election called by Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras would have no effect on Greece’s third financial aid program.
Mr. Wieser told Austrian television network ORF that “this was really an expected step and for many people a desired step to get to a clearer structure in the Greek government«.
The Austrian official further explained that after the snap election “in October we have a meeting about a possible debt relief and we hope for further progress of the program”.
