Merkel: “Tsipras resignation is part of the solution, not the crisis”

German Chancellor Angela Merkel appears to have welcomed the resignation of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and announcement of snap elections, according to the President of Brazil Dilma Rousseff.

Mrs. Merkel, who is currently on an official visit to Brazil, argued that the Greek Prime Minister’s resignation is part of the solution and not a part of the crisis.
