The leader of the River Stavros Theodorakis stressed that his party would support the government in Parliament over the third bailout agreement, while being highly critical of the Prime Minister.
Mr. Theodorakis noted that “MPs who were voted in to tear up the memoranda are signing them” and that the opposition parties were called to perform the duties of the government. He also accused the Prime Minister of lying and attributed “a large part of the new loan” to these lies.
Furthermore, Mr. Theodorakis commented that Greece needs government of broad alliances and that changes need to be carried out to the electoral. The River leader specifically referred to the 50-seat bonus given to the first party in the elections, which he argued must be abolished.
Greece will not manage to overcome the crisis if it does not focus on improving production and education, reminding that the rate of unemployment is racing to 30%.
