A 38-year-old non-commissioned officer serving in an armored division based on Samos is in a critical condition, after injuring himself with his weapon on Tuesday morning.
The officer has been airlifted to Athens, with the Army General Staff announcing that an investigation will be launched into the circumstances and cause of his injury.
