European Central Bank increases ELA for Greek banks

The European Central Bank has announced that it raised the ceiling of the emergency liquidity assistance (ELA) for Greek banks, following a request by the Bank of Greece.

Banking sources have noted that if necessary, the European Central Bank will convene again in the next 24 hours.
