It is usual in Greece for the main opposition party to ask for the government’s resignation and general elections, whenever it pleases.

Another characteristic of the political life in Greece is how foreign governments and secret services meddling is our domestic affairs. When foreign parties or organization openly intervene in our political life, then accusations of treason, national betrayal etc are exchanged.

These days were silent witnesses to a profound attempt of foreign leaders to manipulate the current and future Greek governments so that deals can be signed, which are said to further strengthen the grip of the financial recession on the country.

Any person with elementary political knowledge understands the essence of the case. The foreign powers want to ensure that whichever government is in power tomorrow will execute implement the terms of the agreement.

The solution to the problem depends on the Presidential elections. If the foreign powers, namely our partners in Europe, grant a minor deferment they will obviously support the Samaras government, which knows the deal and has consented. If however they grant a six-month extension then things change.

Both Mr. Samaras and Mr. Tsipras are aware of what is happening on stage and what is being discussed behind the scenes. If the foreign powers help the president of SYRIZA in his effort for early elections, they will do so because they have ensured the future.
