The Minister of Finances Gikas Hardouvelis met with the troika on Wednesday morning and commented that the coalition government will have to expedite its actions before the troika returns in September.
Sources from the ministry noted that the meeting was productive and that “August will be a month of hard work for us”. The troika is said to have requested data on the program, so that everything is ready for the next review in September.
Aside from the budget, there is a series of actions and decisions that the government must take, with Mr. Hardouvelis jokingly telling the troika that a response is needed, when a message is sent, arguing that it will be an “American August”.
