The Fire Brigade is trying to tackle a major fire that broke out in the Chandra region near Sitia in Crete, which reportedly broke out late on Thursday afternoon.
The fire, which is burning olive trees and bushes, is not threatening any homes and has been fueled by the strong winds that have been blowing in the area.
The fire fighters from Lasithi who have engaged the fire are being supported by colleagues from Iraklio as well as soldiers and volunteers.
