The Minister of Interior Argyris Dinopoulos appeared at an information day event for newly-elected local government officers and announced that the intermunicipal mobility scheme has been extended to August, which was recently reinitiated.
Mr. Dinopoulos also agued that municipal employees who voluntarily apply for a transfer to another municipality will not be inducted in the government’s controversial suspension scheme, which critics have claimed results in dismissals.
The Interior Minister stressed that the mobility plan that was developed in association with the Ministry of Administrative Reform has seen 995 employees reappointed, with a further 2,000 transfers planned.
