One political leader and four former MPs are being investigated by the parliamentary committee tasked with overseeing the finances of parties and MPs. The five politicians are specifically being audited for sums of money that are not justified by their income.
Specifically, the committee is looking into the finances of LAOS leader Giorgos Karatzaferis (for 32,000 euros), New Democracy’s former MPs G. Anagnostopoulos (for 44,000 euros), I. Kallioras (for 55,000 euros) and Ar. Stathakis (for 120,000 euros) and former PASOK MP I. Skoulas (for 81,000 euros).
The five politicians will soon be summoned in order to provide explanations to the Audit Committee in Parliament.
