Kapsis: “Public radio and television to be independent”

The newly-appointed Deputy Minister for Public Radio and Television Pantelis Kapsis commented on Mega Channel’s morning talk show about his plans.

Mr. Kapsis noted that “we have the opportunity to leap forward and create a new radio and television that lives up to the expectations of the Greek people, beyond interventions and petty politics”.

The Deputy Minister admitted that he had a tough job ahead of him and stressed that it is his intention for the new public radio and television to be independent from government.

His first task is to improve the situation and reinstate public broadcasts. Mr. Kapsis also claimed that the ERT employees are part of the solution.
