The Ministry of Finances is working on two tax bills which it intends to have ready by mid March and before the troika team leaves Athens. The issue was discussed yesterday at the 14-member special committee for the reform of the tax system, which has taken up the task to submit suggestions on the tax reform by April.
The Deputy Ministry of Finances G. Mavraganis met with H. Theoharis, N. Karavitis, A. Refenes, G. Kritselis, H. Kyriazis, Th. Vardas, G. Tapeinos, G. Fasoulas, G. Stavropoulos, S. Petsas, S. Rison, G. Mpei and S. Koutnatzis and decided that it was required to encode income taxation, in order to collect “scattered” tax provisions in one document. They also decided to compose a Code of Tax Procedures, so that citizen-tax office transactions are simplified.
