“Green” certificates for four Greek ports

Four new ports in Greece are to receive environmental PERS certificates at an event on Wednesday 20^th February at 10:00, by the research team of transport systems of the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, at the University of Piraeus.

The ports of Kerkyra, Volos, Porto Lagos and Kavala, as well as the Italian port of Piombino, are to be honored for being “green”. According to the event organizers Greece is “in the top European places, demonstrating the real progress on such matters”. A conference on the environmental management of ports will take place after the award ceremony.
