Students, professors and administrative staff of the Alexandrian TEI of Thessaloniki (ATEITH) have arranged to meet at Malgara tolls at noon on Thursday, to protest the “Athina” changes.
The students belonging to the Student Struggle Front (MAS) have organized a protest at 6pm in Omonia Square in Athens. Further protests on Friday include a noon demonstration at Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki, while ATEITH admin services will only operate between noon and 2pm.
At 1pm on Monday, the Mayor of Thessaloniki G. Boutaris and the ATEITH president P. Karakoltsidis will meet with the political leadership of the Ministry of Education in Athens, to discuss the ATEITH issues to find a solution. In Thessaloniki students have organized a sit-down demonstration on Tsimiski Street, near Aristotelous at noon.
