The employees at Elefsina shipyard are going on strike, following the management’s announcement that if the State doesn’t pay its outstanding debts for the construction of three warships for the Navy, they will be forced to shut down.
The shipyard employees have not been paid in a year and will symbolically close the Elefsina toll booths for about half and hour, according to SKAI. The Neorio shipyard in Syros is also considering shutting down.
