A fatal stabbing took place in the early hours of Thursday, at around 3:20am, on Trion Ierarhon Street in Petralona. According the reports, two Greeks who were riding a motorbike attacked an immigrant who was riding a bicycle.
The two assailants, a 25-year-old and a 29-year-old fireman, were later arrested by the police near Syntagma Square. So far the motives of the attack are nuclease, with the two Greeks claiming they attacked the immigrant because he blocked their path with his bicycle. Police sources indicate that the two Greeks possessed a switchblade and knife when arrested.
