The nationwide federation of public hospital employees (POEDIN) has announced a 24-hour healthcare strike on Wednesday, along with a demonstration outside the Ministry of Health at 11am.
Among the hospital employee demands are free and universal healthcare, greater funding and recruitments, along with the abolition of the controversial pension system reform.
Meanwhile the union of EOPYY doctors has warned that patients will either have to pay for exams and visits, or visit public healthcare services. The decision due to the late payments of money owed.
