After a session with many fluctuations, in response to the Asian stock market crisis, the Athens Stock Exchange closed with minor gains on Thursday, with the general price index climbing by 0.69% to 627.02 points.
Transactions were valued at 27.50 million euros, while the yield of the ten-year bond closed at 9.31%.
The banking sector took a bit of a beating, with the stock of Alpha Bank was up by 2.17%, while the National Bank of Greece dropped by 2.78%, Piraeus Bank down by 4.3% and Eurobank also dropped by 7.14%.
