A benefit concert for the 595 cleaners who are protesting against their dismissal from the Ministry of Finances will take place at Syntagma Square on Monday the 28th of July. The main attraction at the benefit concert will be popular singer Haris Alexiou.
The 595 cleaners were dismissed from the Ministry of Finances about ten months and were successful in their legal appeal, which ruled that they must be reappointed. In response the Ministry of Finances requested that the Supreme Court suspends the appeal decision due to the financial needs of the country.
