A 20-year-old Dutch hotel entertainer who was working in a hotel appears to be responsible for the stabbing of a 12-year-old Russian tourist in Crete.
The Russian family had been on vacation in Crete since the 8th of May and stayed at a hotel in Hersonisos. On Tuesday evening the family attended a function presented by the 20-year-old Dutch hotel entertainer. The 12-year-old Russian realized that his laptop and mobile phone had been stolen and suspected the animator was responsible.
When the 12-year-old went missing, his mother contacted the police, who found the young boy in a nearby dump. According to reports the boy had been stabbed multiple times, mostly in the back. The boy was initially taken to the Venizelio hospital, however due to the severity of his condition he has been airlifted to Athens.
When the police found the 12-year-old boy, he was still conscious and able to tell the police that the 20-year-old Dutch man had attacked him. The police later located the 20-year-old, who attempted to throw away a bag containing the stolen computers and mobile phone. The 20-year-old confessed to the police and indicated where he had hidden the knife used in the attack.
