The trial of conscientious objector Nikos Karanikas, who is being accused of insubordination, has been postponed for the 8th of March. The 42-year-old, who is also a municipal advisor candidate for Thessaloniki, had requested the postponement.
A group of supporters, including SYRIZA MP Tasos Kourakis, was gathered outside the Thessaloniki Court Martial, expressing their solidarity. Mr. Karanikas was arrested by the police last Wednesday and referred to the military judicial system.
