6.2.13
The Minister of Growth Kostis Hatzidakis was invited to speak at the Committee for Production and Trade, where he revealed that there will be no change to the law regarding the auctioning of houses for 2013.
Mr. Hatzidakis also spoke of the difficulties in negotiating household loans with the troika, who “barely accept the Ministry’s proposal”, indicating a negative response to any beneficial changes. Mr. Hatzidakis reiterated his powerlessness to achieve anything better, since “we do not decide on our own”.
In response to the many claims by fellow MPs for beneficial reforms in favor of households, Mr. Hatzidakis asked them to accompany him in the troika negotiations to attempt to sway them. Finally, the Minister explained that “reforms are based on the condition of the economically and socially disadvantaged”.
