Prosecutor Panagiota Fakou has ordered a preliminary examination over a comment made by prospective MP and member of ANEL Dimis Argyropoulos.
Mr. Argyropoulos made the following post on his facebook profile, in relation to the news that the Minister of Finances was mailed a bullet: “But next time they will plant them in him. The people are angry and the animals haven’t understood it”.
The Prosecutor has ordered an investigation to determine whether the politician’s comment can be considered an incitement to committing a crime. Mr. Argyropoulos removed the post shortly afterwards and apologized in another post, claiming that many (not so serious) things are said online.
