The Alternate Minister of National Defense Dimitris Vitsas has ruled out the possibility of the contingency measures demanded by the IMF being passed by Greek Parliament.
In an interview which he gave to ANT1 on Wednesday morning Mr. Vitsas, explained that he ruled out such a prospect both for ‘typical reasons’ as well as on fundamental grounds.
According to the Alternate Minister, Greek law does not allow the enactment of legislation that comes into effect conditionally. Furthermore, he argued that even if these contingency measures were introduced, they create conditions that are not ‘beneficial’.
