The German Minister of Finances Wolfgang Schäuble and his American counterpart, the Secretary of Treasury Jack Lew, reportedly had a telephone conversation about Greece.

According to Mega Channel’s correspondent in Berlin, Pantelis Valasopoulos, the American official urged his German colleague to support Greece, with the German minister responding “give 50 billion to save Greece”.

With the American side not responding to the call for providing financial aid, Mr. Schäuble is said to have commented that when the issue of money arises, Washington always backs down.
