Mr. Magginas had reportedly undergone a hernia operation, but suddenly fell into a comma on Friday morning and dies a result of septicemia.
He was born in Athens in 1949 and later graduated from the Law School of Athens. He was involved in the negotiations for Greece’s induction in the EEC in 1976 and later became spokesman for New Democracy (1992-1993).
In 2007 he was appointed Minister of Employment, but was forced to resign after allegations suggested he hired uninsured migrants to work on his holiday residence.
