About 35,000 people from all over the world will be at that starting line in Marathon at 9am on Sunday for the 32nd Authentic Athens Marathon, who will race each other to the Panathinaikon Stadium.
A press conference was held on Thursday to inaugurate an exhibition on the Marathon, where AIMS president Paco Borao noting how thrilled he was to see so many people join the race.
This year aside from the 42.195 km race, which will see runners go through seven municipalities in and around the Greek capital, there will be 5 and 10 kilometer races. The Special Olympics race and the children’s 1.5 kilometer race will also take
During the race special traffic measures will be taken by the police to ensure the safety, while various events have been scheduled for children.
