The Deputy Minister of Finances Giorgos Mavraganis stated in Parliament this morning that all the necessary data for the Electronic Property Register will be collected by the end of the year. DIMAR MP Nikos Tsoukalis initiated the conversation in reference to the government commitments to establishing a fair taxation system and combat tax evasion.

Mr. Mavraganis explained that the first step is to complete the registration of all real estate by the end of June. The second step is to document all incomes, regardless of whether they are taxable or not and under what circumstances. The Ministry will collect all the date from a variety of government agencies and bodies, rather than just taxpayers.

The Deputy Minister noted that time is needed in order to collect all personal data safely and according to the law, with the hope of having an idea of the full picture in 2014.
